TARGET PUBLIC
This course is for students with a upper Intermediate level of English (B2) interested in sitting for the Cambridge English First Exam in June/July. Recognized as one of the most important English certificates in the world, it is accepted by countless universities, employers, government and immigration authorities around the world.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is for you if you:
*Intend to sit for the Cambridge English: First (FCE) in June/July;
*Would like to improve your range of grammar and lexis;
*Want to develop your reading, listening, writing and speaking skills;
*Would like to learn and practice some exam techniques and test-taking strategies in order to master the language and manage time.
METHODOLOGY
*This course is Taylor-made to meet students’ needs in terms of familiarity with the exam, covering the five skills of the exam: Reading, Use of English, Writing, Listening and Speaking.
*All the handouts and slides used during the course will be provided for the course participants.
*Students will receive individual feedback on writing and on speaking skill throughout the course.
* Lessons will be recorded and available for 1 week (7 days) for participants to watch in case they need to miss any of the lessons. After 7 days, the lessons are automatically deleted.
REQUIREMENTS
*A Gmail account to access the Google Classroom platform.
* A desktop or laptop computer with a high-speed internet connection,equipped with a camera and a microfone.
* An on-line placement test is required to check the appropriate level of English.
*Students need to be committed to the course taking from 2 to 3 hours weekly apart from our lessons in order to study for the exam.
General information
- Students: minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 students.
- Lessons: 17 sessions
- Workload: 1 weekly online session of 90 minutes;
- Date and time: Wednesdays evenings, from 8:30 to 10 p.m. (Brasília time), from February, 24th to June, 30th. (February: 24 / March: 03,10,17,24,31 / Abril: 07,14, 28 / Maio: 05, 12, 19, 26 / Junho 02, 09, 16, 23.
Investment
Total investment: R$ 1.850,00 (paid in over 12 months interest free installments).
